I stop over at my mate's house but I manage to get home for just after 9am. Impressive eh? after a few shandies. Our run starts at 10.30. They call it a ‘stumble’ because the route usually take you via a few pubs where you can stop to refuel. They must think we’ve all been out on the ale last night because all the available routes seem to have gone up by a mile or two. Our little eight miler has now become nearly nine and a half. We were hoping to keep it short for MD’s little legs and because Doggo has an agility event tomorrow. My folks, always up for an unusual day out, have decided to come and spectate.
The run is excellent and they send us down some very nice paths that we never knew existed. Some of them are so quiet and secluded and the weather so nice that it's enough to make you consider getting fresh with your running partner, but every time the thought occurs, a dog walker, another runner or my Dad with his video camera appear from nowhere. Showing just how not secluded it really was.
In the evening we are evicted again for another Strongbow and Xbox party. We are all stunned when beforehand Son borrows the hoover, so that he can clear a strip of carpet in his bedroom for his friends to sleep on. L is amazed he even knows how to use it.
Daughter goes to the cinema and we take the dogs, who both looked knackered and like they fancied a night in, down the Plough. All of us keeping well out of the way.
